WHITE PIGEON — The baseball season came to an end for a couple of area schools Wednesday, June 4, while another one pulled an upset to keep its season alive. The baseball squads from Centreville, Three Rivers and White Pigeon saw their regional semifinal matchups moved up because of the threat of rain in the evening. White Pigeon was hosting Michigan Lutheran in its regional semifinal matchup, while both Centreville and Three Rivers were on the road. Centreville dropped its game at Olivet, 6-2.

WHITE PIGEON — A trio of local baseball teams will have their seasons continue into the regional round. White Pigeon, Centreville and Three Rivers each won their respective district championships on Saturday, all three schools will continue their seasons on Wednesday in the next round. Division 4White Pigeon entered the post season with an under .500 record — in fact, the Chiefs are still there at 14-15.
