Forecasters — and one of Michigan’s largest utilities — are cautioning there could be some intense weather this week, with storms, hail and perhaps even tornadoes Wednesday, followed by extreme heat over the weekend. The bad weather, meteorologists warned, could come on suddenly, so don't be fooled if it looks sunny out. The skies could turn dark and scary quickly, bringing 2-3 inch downpours, quarter-sized hail, 70-mph winds and even terrible tornadoes.

The escalating conflict between Israel and Iran pushed oil prices to more than $75 a barrel. The average price of gas in Michigan was $3.09 on June 15, down an average of 8 cents a gallon from last week. In the next two weeks, gas prices are likely to go up 10 to 15 cents a gallon, a GasBuddy analyst predicted.
