Thai Rath (Thai: ไทยรัฐ, RTGS: Thai Rat, pronounced [tʰāj rát]; meaning 'Thai State' or 'Thai Nation') is a popular daily newspaper in the Thai language, based in Bangkok and available all over the country. It is a broadsheet format and consists of two main sections. The first section focuses on news, renowned for its dramatic reporting on crime and accidents, while also covering topics related to Thai politics, the economy, and social issues. The second section is dedicated to sports and entertainment news. Thai Rath holds the title of the second oldest Thai-language newspaper, following Siam Rath (สยามรัฐ), which started in 1949. Meanwhile, the Bangkok Post, an English-language newspaper, is the oldest in Thailand with a publication history exceeding 70 years. Thai Rath is the leading newspaper in Thailand, boasting a daily circulation of over one million copies.
