The Thaiger

Since its takeover in July 2017, Thaiger has seen a remarkable increase in traffic, jumping from approximately 170,000 page views per month to an impressive 10-20 million monthly views. The Phuket Gazette was the island's original English-language newspaper, serving the community since 1993 and managed by long-time resident John Magee. Although it ended its print edition in April 2017 after 23 years, its digital presence has continued under the new leadership of The Thaiger Pte Ltd. Thaiger was launched in Phuket in October 2016 as a new FM radio station. Now registered in Singapore, The Thaiger Pte Ltd has evolved into a modern media outlet, offering news, lifestyle content, restaurant reviews, travel tips, top ten lists, free classifieds, and much more across Thailand and Southeast Asia. Our news at Thaiger is concise, mobile-friendly, accurate, and timely. We prioritize bringing you the latest headlines and frequently update our stories. Furthermore, we have an extensive collection of information about Thailand and its neighboring regions. In August 2020, Thaiger launched a separate Thai-language news section, creating the new Tadoo news and e-commerce brand. Thaiger now operates four Facebook pages, an English YouTube channel, and maintains a presence on Instagram and Twitter. In September 2020, we also introduced Thaiger LIFE, which focuses on expat and English-speaking services, along with Thaiger LIVE, our 24/7 news streaming service. Starting in Phuket, Thaiger has grown into a comprehensive portal for news, information, and lifestyle content throughout Thailand and the region, with our main office located in the Asoke district of Bangkok.
