We’ve seen the concepts for BMW’s new class of vehicles as well as some official camouflaged shots, but it’s another matter to actually see prototypes out and about in the wild. Our friend David caught this particular SUV near Oxnard, California: an early version of what we understand to be the upcoming electric iX3 SUV. It’s going to be the first model out the gate riding on the automaker’s Neue Klasse architecture.

When it first rolled out to the public a few years ago, we rejoiced that Toyota finally, finally had a modern hot hatch we could buy with the GR Corolla. There’s always room to push farther, though, and that’s what the automaker recently teased with this new camouflaged model. What, oh what, could this possibly be? We’ll have more official information this coming fall, but the general consensus points toward this being a “GRMN” model.

In itself, the tiny rear-wheel drive Toyota GR86 is a special car squarely aimed at enthusiasts. Sometimes the “standard” car just isn’t enough, though, so the automaker’s taken to releasing model year-specific editions like the Trueno for 2024 and the Hakone for 2025. As we roll into 2026, there’s now the Yuzu Edition, which is definitely the brightest of the bunch — and clad in a color you might recognize, if you are the sort of enthusiast Toyota’s targeting here.
