The Lancet Oncology was first introduced in September 2000 as an engaging monthly publication that addresses global topics important to clinical cancer professionals everywhere. In May 2005, the journal grew to feature original research and began sharing articles online ahead of their print release. It quickly became recognized as a leading source for original research, particularly in clinical trial reports, advocacy, and global health issues. One standout feature is its rapid peer-review process for original research, allowing accepted papers to be published within just 8 weeks of submission.
