The Malibu Times
The Malibu Times is the community newspaper serving Malibu, California. Established in 1946 by Reeves Templeman, it has been under the ownership of Arnold and Karen York since November 1987. In addition to the newspaper, they also produce the Malibu Times Magazine, which is a lifestyle publication showcasing local homes, fashion, food, profiles of Malibu residents, and more. The magazine debuted its first issue in November–December 2003, featuring actress Jane Seymour on the cover. Since then, it has expanded significantly, now boasting 96 pages and a circulation of 25,000.

The charges stem from a high-speed crash on Oct. 17, 2023, that claimed the lives of four Pepperdine University seniors — all members of the Alpha Phi sorority — as they stood on the shoulder of Pacific Coast Highway.
