Kansas baseball completed a three-game sweep of No. 16 West Virginia on Saturday 7-0 to finish the regular season 42-14. Offense was hard to come by in the early stages of Saturday’s game at Kendrick Family Ballpark. There were just three combined hits between both teams in the early innings. Both teams were held scoreless throughout the first five innings of play, with each team’s best opportunities ending with leaving a man on second base.

Kansas tennis’ season came to an end on Friday afternoon, falling 4-0 to South Carolina in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at the Chewning Tennis Center in Chapel Hill, N.C. The Gamecocks earned the first point of the afternoon when they won their two doubles matches, both 6-4. South Carolina’s Kaitlyn Carnicella and Sarah Hamner defeated Kansas’ Heike Janse van Vuuren and Gracie Mulville in the first doubles match of the afternoon.

Ken Lassman’s family has deep roots in Douglas County, and now, with the help of the Kansas Land Trust, he’s ensured those roots will continue to thrive for future generations. One hundred thirty acres of his family’s land, known as Wells Farm, have been protected in perpetuity through a land conservation easement. A celebration of the land will be held at Wells Overlook Park this Saturday at 2 p.m. featuring speakers, ecologists and a nature walk on the property.

Kansas Athletics held a media tour of the ongoing renovations and construction of David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium on Friday. Kansas athletic director Travis Goff emphasized that the project is on time. “On time, on budget,” Goff said. “Four words that we're really enjoying continuing to say around here,”Alongside the stadium renovations, the Anderson Family Football Complex has also received an upgrade. Some highlights include the new team meeting room, which offers a view of the field.
