TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV/Gray News) – A Florida man has been charged with murder in the death of a 1-year-old girl he was babysitting, but the baby’s twin brother was left unharmed. According to Tallahassee police, 25-year-old Deric Young was arrested Tuesday. He is charged with murder and aggravated child abuse in the death of Ky’meria German. His arrest comes after Tallahassee police responded to a call Monday reporting a 1-year-old child not breathing in the 1700 block of Saxon Street.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV/Gray News) - A father in Florida accused of killing his 12-year-old daughter has died in jail, according to authorities. Andrew Wiley, the father and suspected killer of Lori Paige, died of natural causes resulting from a pulmonary embolism, a preliminary report from the medical examiner shows.

LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) - Gas station giant Buc-ee’s seems poised to overcome its first obstacle to developing just outside of Tallahassee. Leon County Commissioner Christian Caban said he believes there is consensus among county staff, elected commissioners and Buc-ee’s that urban planners will grant a variance from normal rules to allow the gas station to build a large sign outside the proposed 75,000 square foot travel center.
