Dozens and dozens of children were present, and it didn’t take them long to scoop up an estimated 1,500 plastic eggs filled with candy from a grassy area underneath cool shade trees.

From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., residents are encouraged to come out to the Valley Sportsplex to donate their unused and expired prescription drugs. Daniel’s Drive Inn, which was originally founded in Lanett, in 1950 was started by Ethel Daniel and her brother Dub Waldrep. Since then, the business has been passed down from generation to generation.
