The Washington Blade
The Washington Blade is a newspaper focused on the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community in the Washington, D.C. area. It holds the distinction of being the oldest LGBT newspaper in the U.S. and ranks third in circulation, following the Philadelphia Gay News and New York City's Gay City News. Known as America's primary gay newspaper, the Blade documents LGBT news on local, national, and global levels. The New York Times has noted that it is one of the most impactful publications aimed at a gay readership.
