    Football The Vandals and head coach Thomas Ford, Jr., have been hard at work preparing for his first season as a Vandal, which will kick off with the Battle of the Palouse away against Washington State on Saturday, Aug. 30, at 7 p.m. at Martin Stadium.  Joshua Wood, Junior QB, Fresno State The Fresno State transfer appeared in all 13 games for the Bulldogs in 2024 as a special-play situational QB.

    The field was packed with familiar faces as Idaho’s soccer family reunited. The current Vandals stole the show and dominated the Alumni 5-0 with five different goal scorers. They provided a spark to carry the Vandal legacy that was paved by the very alumni they faced.  The Alumni team trotted onto the field with a mix of past Vandals, including multiple from the 2023 Big Sky Championship team, as they looked to face the current Vandal squad.

    They absorbed pressure, fought for every inch and, when the moment came, they found the answer. Under a cool Pullman night and the glare of the stadium lights, the Idaho Vandals’ women’s soccer team came to make a statement. In the 79th minute, Tori Peters delivered it loud and clear.  Peters slipped past a tight Washington State defense to bury the game-winning goal that silenced Lower Soccer Field and gave the Vandals a 1-0 victory over the Cougars.

    For the first time in the spring, the Idaho Vandals’ women’s soccer team was back playing in the P1FCU Kibbie Dome, where they were undefeated in the fall. They kept that streak going, putting on a show behind four different goal scorers and rolling to a 4-0 victory over Spokane Community College.  “[It’s] one of those games to get some players get more minutes and opportunities,” Head Coach Jeremy Clevenger said.
