    With the help of 7 new inches of snow that fell last week, Arizona Snowbowl has once again extended their season, this time with operations set to run through Memorial Day, May 26. The resort will be open for two more weekends, with operations on Saturday and Sunday of this upcoming weekend (May 17th & 18th) and Friday-Monday of the following weekend (May 23rd-26th). The Arizona Gondola will run from 10am to 4pm on all open days. There will be no beginner terrain available on the mountain.

    Police in Frisco, Colorado, have arrested a suspect in the Meadow Creek wildfire that occurred on public land between Wildflower Lane, Meadow Drive, Whole Foods, and I-70 on Saturday, May 10. The fire was reported around 5pm on Saturday, growing to about 6.3 acres before firefighters with the Red, White & Blue Fire Protection District were able to get it under control. No injuries or structure damage were reported, though the fire did shut down portion of Eastbound I-70 for a period.
