New 2025 BYD Atto 3 facelift revealed in official Chinese documents

Three years after its launch, the BYD Atto 3 is about to pass that age where a mid-cycle change is needed. Images of the 2025 Atto 3 facelift have been submitted to the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information (MIIT), the government regulatory in charge of approving sales of new vehicles. Based on the few exterior photos submitted, the facelifted Atto 3, known as the Yuan Plus in China, receives very minor visual adjustments.

At the 2024 Thailand International Motor Expo (TIME), it was revealed that the BYD Seal has received a price reduction, ranging from THB 325,000 to THB 400,000 (approximately RM 42,000 to RM 52,000) depending on the variant. With the revised pricing, the entry-level Dynamic RWD variant of the BYD Seal now starts at approximately THB 999,900 (around RM 131k). The Premium RWD is priced at THB 1,099,900 (around RM 144k), while the top-spec AWD Performance variant costs THB 1,199,900 (around RM 157k).

This year marks the awards’ 45th presentation since its inaugural ceremony in 1980 which was awarded to the Mazda Familia/323. Chinese battery electric vehicle (BEV) maker, BYD is only gearing up in Malaysia as it plans to launch the Sealion here by the end of the year. BYD Malaysia has recently launched the BYD M6 electric MPV and has sold over 10,000 units in the country since its launch in late 2022. An unnamed source told WapCar that the Sealion will be the next model to be introduced here but did not confirm which Sealion model will be unveiled in Malaysia.
