New car sales in Italy are back up 6.2% year-on-year in March to 172,223 units, yet a slow start of the year means the year-to-date volume remains down at -1.6% to 443,906. Private sales edge down -0.7% to 81,028 and 46.7% share vs. 49.7% a year ago and are off -5.3% YTD to 241,459 and 54% vs. 55.7% over the same period in 2024.
