Since then, a tribute left to the 31-year-old by friends and family was seen ablaze. Passers-by then worked together to extinguish the blaze and passed details of the incident on to Cambridgeshire Constabulary.

    An open space closure order was granted following a successful application at Huntingdon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday May 7, by the local Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT). The order covers the area of 1 to 27 West Street (including 1A, 2A, 3A), 1 to 32 Onyx Court and 1 to 16 John Thompson Road, including the adjoining land, communal areas, pathways, private car parking spaces and outside space up to the boundary of the public highway.

    Hickathrift House Care Home, in Marshland St James, was decorated in red, white, and blue for the occasion. Residents and staff dressed up in 1940s-inspired outfits and enjoyed an afternoon of big band music and dancing.
