A 21-year-old woman is in critical condition after suffering a gunshot wound to the head in North Philadelphia on Wednesday night, police said. The shooting occurred at around 6:30 p.m. at the 800 block of North Watts Street, police said. The woman was found a few feet away from her Nissan, which was parked on the side of the curb and found with its trunk and back driver door open, police said. "She was laying next to the vehicle, just a few feet away, cause the vehicle was parked next to the curb.

Police in Montgomery County are searching for an 18-year-old living with autism who has been missing since Tuesday, June 10, just one day after moving from Florida, officials said. Kyle Andrusko, who family members say can speak but often times does not, was last seen Tuesday at the Brookview Apartments in Elkins Park, police said. Andrusko's family moved to Pennsylvania from Florida on Monday, just one day before his disappearance.

A new bill aims to keep people safe around pets in Philadelphia. More specifically, the bill targets owners who bring their dogs to areas designated as animal-free zones in the city. Under the bill, signs would be posted in certain public parks and playgrounds, warning that anyone bringing a dog into one of the animal-free zones would face a $2,000 fine. However, service animals would be exempt. Councilman Jeffrey Young is behind the bill.

The Capital Health satellite emergency room in East Trenton is shutting down after structural engineers determined the building to be unsafe to continue using, the company announced on Wednesday. According to Capital Health, the building on the old St. Francis campus has been determined to have "significant structural issues with another adjoining building" that "pose a threat to the integrity and safety" of the building.
