A massive wildfire in Ocean County, New Jersey, has burned thousands of acres, at one point forced thousands of evacuations, destroyed a business and closed some roads. The fire began shortly before 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at the Greenwood Forest Wildlife Management Area in Barnegat Township, Ocean County. The fire spread to Lacey Township where it destroyed a business.

A person delivering mail in South Jersey helped save a mother and her child from the burning home on Wednesday. A home on the 400 block of Spruce Street in Haddonfield, Camden County, went up in flames just after 3 p.m. on April 23, according to officials with the borough's Department of Public Safety. Officers with the Haddonfield Police Department said that a mail carrier is the one who called 911 to report the fire that left the home severely damaged.

A popular pizza shop in Philadelphia is the focus of a community meeting on Wednesday. Angelo's Pizzeria is a super-trendy restaurant tucked inside a rowhome on South 9th Street in South Philly. Some of the people who live nearby say they are fed up with the amount of customers that continually swarm the place with long lines. "It's gets pretty overpopulated. It gets crowded. Like, there's not much room to order," Angelo's customer Lilly Ringle said.

Police in Philadelphia are urging residents to protect themselves if someone they don't know approaches them at their home. This warning comes as officials are investigating a series of recent robberies where a man allegedly approached an older homeowner while a second man robbed the victim's house. Investigators are aware of four incidents that have happened through March and April, 2025, where the suspects used the same methods, have similar descriptions and targeted homes in the same area.
