One of the two girls who was hit by a car while riding on a scooter in Delaware County on Saturday can't be saved, according to doctors. Abigail Gillian, 12, is being kept alive by life-support machines. Abigail and 11-year-old Bella Jones were riding a motorized scooter in Aston just before 2:30 p.m. on June 14 when they were hit by a passing car, officials said. The driver stayed on the scene. "Obviously, we were all taken aback," Kevin Pierce, of Ridley Township Swim Club, said.

A Montgomery County man has been charged after a police chase that began in Montgomery County on Wednesday and ended with an hourslong standoff in Bucks County, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office. Charles Bowne III, 35, was charged with attempted murder, robbery and assault on a law enforcement officer among other related charges, officials said.

Police in Philadelphia are searching for a man accused of throwing an orange traffic cone at an officer during protests in the city on Tuesday, June 10, according to a spokesperson from the police department. The officer was part of the team doing crowd control and was wearing his full bicycle uniform when the incident happened around 7 p.m., police said. As an arrest was happening, the officer was using his bicycle to keep the crowd at a distance, police explained.

Two kids were hurt and over a dozen neighbors were forced out of their homes after a fire in Southwest Philadelphia on Wednesday, according to a spokesperson with the Philadelphia Fire Department. Crews with the fire department were called to the 1900 block of South 65 Street just after 1:30 p.m. where they found wires down and a blaze impacting at least two homes, officials said.
