Weyburn police are asking for the public’s assistance following a series of break-ins at a storage facility. On April 9, police were informed that four units were broken into at a facility in the city’s west end. To avoid detection, the suspect (or suspects) covered the surveillance cameras with mud. According to police, it does not appear anything was stolen from the units. However, the investigation is ongoing to determine if anything else was damaged or stolen.

A 38-year-old man is facing various weapons charges after a gun was recovered in a traffic stop Tuesday morning. The incident occurred on the 600 block of Retallack Street, according to the Regina Police Service (RPS). According to officers at the scene, there were five people inside the vehicle when it was stopped. Further investigation led to the discovery of a loaded handgun inside the vehicle.
