Springtime professional football is headed back to Houston, which will field one of the eight teams in a newly created league. The United Football League (UFL), which will begin its inaugural 10-game season March 30, was created through a merger between the XFL and United States Football League (USFL).

Spring was named the most generous city in the U.S. this year by GoFundMe. This is the fourth year in a row that the online fundraising site ranked the Houston suburb in the top two. In 2020 and 2022, Spring ranked number two. "Our mission at GoFundMe is to help people help each other, and we are excited to celebrate the generosity of Spring, Texas," company spokeswoman Melanie Standage said. "Year after year, Spring continues to top the list as one of the country's most generous cities.
