QUINCY, Fla. (WCTV) - A “multi-level” criminal investigation into the city of Quincy’s Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) regarding financial issues was launched “months ago,” city officials announced Thursday. Mayor Dr. Beverly Nash announced the investigation during an emergency CRA meeting Thursday afternoon. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement, as well as the Attorney General’s office and the State Attorney’s office, are all involved in the investigation, according to the mayor.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - The owners of Governor’s Square Mall confirmed to WCTV Monday that the shopping center’s closure is due to a water main break, although the timeline for reopening is still unclear. “We can confirm that our main water line burst early Saturday morning and is currently being repaired,” owner Brookfield Properties wrote in an email sent Monday afternoon. The break shut down every store except for Dillard’s over the weekend.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Dozens of protesters lined the sidewalk outside the Florida Capitol Sunday to call for gun reform in the wake of a fatal campus shooting. The protesters were calling for action after a shooter opened fire Thursday on passerby at Florida State University, killing two and injuring six others. Students from FSU and nearby Florida A&M University turned out to the rally, as well as members of Students for a Democratic Society and the Tallahassee Community Action Committee.
