TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Dozens of protesters lined the sidewalk outside the Florida Capitol Sunday to call for gun reform in the wake of a fatal campus shooting. The protesters were calling for action after a shooter opened fire Thursday on passerby at Florida State University, killing two and injuring six others. Students from FSU and nearby Florida A&M University turned out to the rally, as well as members of Students for a Democratic Society and the Tallahassee Community Action Committee.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Tallahassee State College hosted its new student convocation Friday with thousands of students filling the campus, eager for the new school year. During the orientation for new students, there were booths set up to provide resources, class information, food, and games. TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Florida A&M University’s Interim President Dr. Timothy Beard spoke publicly for the first time Wednesday, a day after asking the university’s senior leadership team to resign effective that day. In a letter to the senior leadership team dated Aug. 12, Dr. Beard asked the team of 19 people to resign from their positions effective on Tuesday.
