(WCTV) - Disturbing details are coming out in the death of a 1-year-old girl this week in Tallahassee. Deric Young, 25, is charged with murder and aggravated child abuse in the baby’s death. His arrest follows an investigation that began Monday after Tallahassee Police responded to a call reporting a 1-year-old child not breathing in the 1700 block of Saxon Street.

(WCTV) - A former Madison police officer is behind bars after being accused of sexually abusing a minor under the age of 12, according to court records. Robert Mincks, 39, was arrested Friday and booked into the Madison County Jail, where he faces a charge of lewd lascivious behavior, court documents revealed.

THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WCTV) - A police standoff Thursday led to the arrest of a man authorities say is connected to an overnight shooting that left one injured, according to the Thomasville Police Department. Darius Jackson, 42, was arrested Thursday after allegedly barricading himself in an apartment. TPD says he is facing 11 charges related to the standoff and a shooting that happened just before midnight Wednesday at the Villa North Apartments.
