Big Sean is teaming up with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and a host of Detroit rappers June 29 at Orchestra Hall, putting a classical spin on his music and also paying tribute to late Detroit hip-hop producer J Dilla. Big Sean's "A Night With the Orchestra," presented by the Detroit Pistons, will also feature Skilla Baby, Tee Grizzley, Illa J, Nasaan and Queen Naija, event producers announced Wednesday.

Detroit rappers Veeze, Icewear Vezzo, Peezy, Babyface Ray, Tay B and more are set to perform at Hart Plaza June 19 in celebration of Juneteenth, event organizers have announced. The concert is part of the Hart of Detroit Summer Fest, which will also include a free block party earlier in the day. Tickets for the concert, which kicks off at 6 p.m., start at $32 and are on sale now through Eventbrite.

Shakira squeezed a stadium-level production into Little Caesars Arena on Thursday when her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour dropped into the downtown arena. The tour is playing stadiums in most markets — Fenway Park in Boston, SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles — and Detroit is one of just a handful of cities where she's playing arenas.
