    EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — A free event aimed at improving the skills of teen drivers is taking place in Evansville in June. The "Evansville Rule the Road," a free driving event for teen drivers on Saturday, June 14, 2025. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Christian Fellowship Church located at 4100 Millersburg Road in Evansville. Teen drivers in the Tri-State area are encouraged to attend to enhance their driving skills beyond standard education.

    HENDERSON, Ky. (WEVV) — Part of Green Street has been shut down in Henderson after a driver wrecked into a utility pole. As of 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, the Henderson Police Department said Green Street would remain closed indefinitely while power crews worked to replace the damaged pole. According to HPD, Green Street is closed in both directions between 1st Street and 2nd Street as a result of the crash.

    EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — Another suspect in a deadly break-in out of Evansville has been arrested. Earlier this month, police responded to a home on Sweetser Avenue after three armed suspects reportedly broke into the home. A resident at the home, Cameron Thomas, shot and killed one of the intruders, while the other two fled the scene, according to EPD. Police say they believe those two surviving suspects are 21-year-old Jaylen Drone, and 22-year-old Klifton Carter.

    EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — Two people have been sentenced to federal prison for the overdose death of a toddler, and the non-fatal overdose of another infant. Federal officials announced Tuesday that Arcinial Watt and Jazmynn Brown had both been sentenced after being charged back in 2022. According to officials, Watt received a sentence of 20 years in federal prison, while Brown was sentenced to 15 years.
