EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — Authorities say they arrested a man and seized 54.5 pounds of marijuana while conducting surveillance at a home linked to a break-in and deadly shooting. The deadly shooting happened at a home on Sweetser Avenue in Evansville on Tuesday. Police said three suspects broke into the home, and that of them, a 22-year-old from Evansville, was shot and killed by a resident.

PRINCETON, Ind. (WEVV) — Funds are being raised to benefit the child of a murder victim in Princeton. On Tuesday, law enforcement responded to some apartments on Garfield Avenue in Princeton, where Clarissa Davis was found shot dead inside a vehicle. Authorities were searching for a person of interest in the murder, and said they found him dead with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEVV) — Portions of downtown Henderson will be closed for SummerFest on May 17. The Henderson Police Department announced that Water Street and 2nd Street will be closed from 6 a.m. on May 17 until 2 a.m. on May 18. Water Street will be closed at the 2nd Street boat ramp in both directions, while 2nd Street will be closed between Water Street and Main Street. Authorities advised that vehicles should be moved out of the SummerFest area by 6 a.m. on May 17.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — Two men have been arrested on charges of dealing marijuana after a deadly shooting that happened during a home invasion on Sweetser Avenue in Evansville. As we reported Tuesday, officers responded to the scene of a deadly shooting at a home on Sweetser Avenue. Police said three men broke into the home, and that a resident shot and killed one of the invaders. As of now, the other two break-in suspects remain on the run.
