HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office offered another round of mobile hail inspections on Friday. A hail storm damaged several vehicles in the county several weeks ago. Two drive-thru events were also held last month, bringing the total to over 5,000 vehicles inspected. EVANSVILLE, Ind (WEHT) – An Evansville man will spend the next 62 years in prison after he was found guilty of murdering an 18-month-old child who was injured while in his care. Tavion Cobb was arrested in September of 2022 after Evansville Police were dispatched to a hospital when the child’s mother brought in an unresponsive toddler. The mother of the child told detectives Cobb had been watching her son, and that he said the baby was injured in an accident.

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – On Thursday, a video posted to social media showed what appeared to be someone dumping a dog out of a vehicle near the I-69 overpass on south Weinbach Avenue in Evansville. Now, the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office says one person has admitted to dumping the dog. According to a release, the sheriff’s office was made aware of the illegal dumping after a surveillance video recorded by the architectural salvage store Salvage Candy was shown during a news report.
