The Longmont Police are currently conducting a death investigation at 21st and Main Street according to the City of Longmont’s Public Information Officer Rogelio Mares. Decomposed human remains were found in a creek near the intersection. Mares said that it is still too early to determine time, cause, and manner of death or identify the individual.

The Longmont Museum is set to temporarily close its galleries on May 26 after the conclusion of its latest exhibit, “A Graphic Journey: Prints by Pablo Picasso,” so that the galleries can be expanded and renovated. The closure and renovations of the galleries will take until fall 2026 to complete.

Savvy Strategic Partners, a C-suite firm founded by a Fort Collins-based entrepreneur, was recently awarded Better Business Bureaus’ annual Spark Award designated to distinguish businesses that are committed to honesty, integrity, and ethics, and are less than three years old in the states of Colorado and Wyoming. The award was presented at a ceremony that took place on April 22. Savvy was founded in 2023 by Colorado local and long-time Fort Collins resident Jill Simonds.

A twin-engine airplane with two individuals on board crashed into a field near Brainard Drive and Midway Boulevard in unincorporated Boulder County near Broomfield shortly after 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. There were no survivors. North Metro Fire Department’s Fire Engine 67 and Brush Engine 67 were first on the scene of the crash, according to North Metro Fire Rescue District’s Public Information Officer Sara Farris, followed by North Metro Fire’s Medic 61, Engine 61, and a battalion chief.
