CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Historically, Aug. 20 marks the start of the most active part of the Atlantic tropical season. While we’ve already had five named storms, the next week or so looks uncharacteristically quiet. Take away the remnants of Ernesto, now far out in the north Atlantic, and there’s really not much to talk about. There are offsetting factors at play right now.
