With beds full and pleas for help increasing, Refuge House – which helps victims of domestic violence and sexual assault – has been forced to turn away hundreds seeking help. Now the organization is turning to the community for help in building a new beginning for survivors of domestic violence. Refuge House is asking for help to raise $3 million to renovate an existing property it owns into the "Dawn of Hope Center" for survivors with children to address any trauma from violence.
