    Three Toronto-area casinos are facing penalties after failing to prevent underage patrons from gambling “on multiple occasions,” the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) says. In a news release on Thursday, the AGCO said it slapped $151,000 in penalties to Great Canadian Entertainment after finding minors allegedly got inside the casino floors and occasionally partook in gambling activities on four different occasions.

    Police are searching for a man after someone was stabbed in the leg while on a TTC bus in Scarborough last week. Toronto police say they were called to the area of Kennedy Road and Bertrand Avenue, north of Eglinton Avenue East, on May 1 at around 6:20 p.m.They say the suspect and victim were riding the bus, which was heading northbound on Kennedy Road, when they allegedly got into a fight.

    The Beer Store has announced it will be closing 11 more locations across Ontario, including two in Toronto. In a release issued on Tuesday, the retailer said the Toronto stores located at 609 Roehampton Ave. and 1580 Avenue Rd. will shut down by July 6. There are also three more branches closing down in the Greater Toronto Area, including two in Oakville – located at 104 Lakeshore Rd. W. and 1011 Upper Middle Rd.—and one at 13469 Yonge St. in Richmond Hill.
