Customers have claimed online that the issues started as early as 3:30am this morning. Calls to scrap M50 tolls due to village's 'major problem with traffic'

A Green Party councillor has called for the M50 toll to be scrapped. Motorists are currently charged between €2.50 and €3.80 to travel on the West Link Toll Bridge on the M50 between Junction 6 Blanchardstown and Junction 7 Lucan. However, Ballyfermot-Drimnagh Councillor Ray Cunningham has said that Chapelizod, which he also represents, is grappling with a "major problem with traffic". And he believes that the Dublin 20 village's congestion is partly down to drivers bypassing the toll.

Flight makes Dublin Airport emergency landing after crew member has 'chest pains'

A US flight was forced into an emergency landing at Dublin Airport after a crew member suffered chest pains. The flight was United Airlines Flight UA71, and it was headed from Amsterdam to Newark Airport in New Jersey. According to Shaun's Aviation on X, the flight's pilots requested medical services met them on stand once they landed. The aircraft landed safely just before 12:30pm in Dublin, and was met by rescue vehicles.
Dublin placed under Yellow weather warning amid snow fears

Dublin has been placed under a Status Yellow rain warning amid fears that snow could also hit. Met Eireann has issued the warning for the capital, as well as Louth, Meath, Wexford, and Wicklow today. The national forecaster says rain will "become heavy at times and persistent" with a risk of spot flooding. The warning kicks into effect at 9pm tonight, and will last until 2pm on Wednesday.
