The government is backing the establishment of the office through IDA Ireland. PTSB's app and website are currently down. The bank, which boasts over one million customers in Ireland, said they are experiencing a "technical issue" which is stopping people from accessing their online services. Customers have claimed online that the issues started as early as 3:30am this morning. The bank said: "We are currently experiencing a technical issue which is intermittently impacting access to our mobile app and website for some of our customers.

A Green Party councillor has called for the M50 toll to be scrapped. Motorists are currently charged between €2.50 and €3.80 to travel on the West Link Toll Bridge on the M50 between Junction 6 Blanchardstown and Junction 7 Lucan. However, Ballyfermot-Drimnagh Councillor Ray Cunningham has said that Chapelizod, which he also represents, is grappling with a "major problem with traffic". And he believes that the Dublin 20 village's congestion is partly down to drivers bypassing the toll.

The National Lottery has confirmed the €500,000 winning ticket from Tuesday night's EuroMillions Plus draw was sold in Artane. A Dublin punter scooped the top prize after matching all numbers in last night's draw. And the lucky Quick Pick ticket was snapped up on April 3 from Tesco in Artane Castle Shopping Centre on Kilmore Road in Dublin 5.
