She is now in the Montgomery jail. Montgomery police and fire medics responded to the shooting at about 8:49 p.m. April 11 in the 1500 block of Hale Street. They found Jackson with a life-threatening gunshot wound. First responders transported him to a local hospital, where he later died.

    A 39-year-old Montgomery woman died from a gunshot wound at a local hospital April 17, and police have now charged a man with murder in connection with her death. Montgomery officers and fire medics responded to a shooting at about 2:32 p.m. April 16 in the 1200 block of West Boulevard. First responders took Keisha Wright to the hospital, where she later died. The Montgomery Police Department charged Freddie Wright, 38, with murder. Police arrested him April 17 and put him in the Montgomery jail.
