    A person was sexually assaulted on a beach in North Wales. The attack took place Criccieth in Gwynedd on Saturday evening. North Wales Police, who have launched an investigation say it happened near the Wales Coast Path, North Wales Live reported. A spokesperson for the force said: "We're appealing for witnesses following a sexual assault in Criccieth on Saturday 5th April.

    An Islamic extremist who arrived in the UK on a small boat has been jailed for 45 months for supporting terror group Isis. Turkish national Hakan Barac, 28, had reached the country two years ago and was in the process of applying for asylum when he was arrested by counter-terrorism police last year. Bristol Crown Court heard Barac had been posting videos on social media sites, including Instagram and Telegram, glorifying Isis and terrorists Osama bin Laden and Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

    A care home worker has been struck off after being accused of stealing £4,181 from a 95-year-old resident whilst the resident was bed bound. Lisa-Marie Edwards, a senior carer at Snowdon Care Home in Llanberis from February 2020 to January 2023, was accused of taking the resident's bank card without her knowledge to make repeated withdrawals from her accounts. The panel hard that the victim died exactly one week after she found out her card had been used, on February 7, 2023.
