    A rare copy of the first complete translation of the Bible into the Welsh language, printed in 1588, is to go on display in Wales for the first time. The 26cm tall book, described as being of exceptional historical significance, has been kept in Westminster Abbey's library collection but will be available for the public to view at St Davids Cathedral in Pembrokeshire.

    A war veteran who fought in the Battle of Arnhem has been honoured in the King's Birthday Honours, just weeks shy of his 100th birthday. Geoffrey Roberts, from Peterborough, is being awarded the Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for his services to the commemoration of the Battle of Arnhem and to charity. Upon hearing the news, Mr Roberts' daughter, Claire Welburn, revealed that her father was taken aback. "His first words actually were, 'I'm not very happy about that'," she shared.

    An American man who flew to Wales to "marry" a teenage girl he had groomed online has been given a prison sentence of more than seven years. Jacob Ewing, 44, of Wildcat Pound Road, Hubert, North Carolina, forced a young girl - who cannot be named for legal reasons – from the Gwent area of Wales to perform "degrading" acts on herself and watch him perform lewd acts online, a court heard. As the girl was turning 16, he flew to the UK to be with her, bringing wedding rings.

    The family of a man killed by a psychiatric patient while walking his dog have said the attack was just the "beginning of our nightmare" as his killer is allowed out on visits from the unit where he is being held. Retired butcher Lewis Stone, 71, was on holiday in Borth, mid-Wales, when he was repeatedly stabbed by David Fleet in 2019. Fleet, who has schizophrenia, had been released from a secure psychiatric unit just 10 days before the attack took place.
