    WESTFIELD, Ind. (WISH) — People in central Indiana on Tuesday and Wednesday have a rare opportunity to see a religious relic from Italy. A long line of people gathered to see the arm of St. Jude, one of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus Christ. It was on display at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church in Westfield. The relic consists of two of St. Jude’s arm bones. It’s the first time the relic has left Italy as part of a United States tour.

    INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A federal lab contractor in Indianapolis has settled its racial discrimination case. A U.S. Department of Labor investigation found that a LabCorp service provider racially discriminated against 218 Black and Asian applicants. Burlington, North Carolina-based LabCorp will pay $525,000 in wages to the applicants, the Department of Labor said in a news release. LabCorp provides lab services across the country, including the National Institutes of Health.

    UPLAND, Ind. (WISH) — Taylor University announced Monday it is expanding its engineering program. The university says a $2 million grant will help to include a new focus on innovation and entrepreneurship. The expansion will offer a new bachelor of science degree starting in the spring. The grant also will support students’ learning and innovation with new equipment and spaces. The university says renovations will be completed by the end of the 2023 academic school year.

    INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Consumer insights provider J.D. Power on Wednesday again named Indianapolis International Airport as the best in customer satisfaction for medium-sized facilities. It’s the sixth time the Indianapolis airport has won the award in J.D. Power’s North America Airport Satisfaction Study. IND won high marks for all aspects of its passenger experience, including food and beverage, retail, and new restaurants.
