TORONTO — Ontario Premier Doug Ford says he was relieved to see Canada is not facing any of U.S. President Donald Trump's new "reciprocal" tariffs, but he is still very concerned about the province's auto sector. While the White House says Canada and Mexico are not subject to Trump's latest tariffs, they remain under previous economywide duties the president has linked to the flow of fentanyl across the borders.

TORONTO — The number of public provincial employees in Ontario earning more than $100,000 a year has grown to more than 377,000, with the top spot again going to the CEO of Ontario Power Generation. The so-called Sunshine List, the disclosure of public sector workers who were paid six figures or more, was released today and the list for 2024 grew by more than 70,000 names. Treasury Board President Caroline Mulroney says nearly half of the growth on the list was driven by the school board sector.

TORONTO — Ontario Liberal Leader Bonnie Crombie said Wednesday she intends to try again to win a seat in the legislature, but will be leading the party from outside the chamber for the foreseeable future. Crombie is trying to brand the third-place party as “the people’s opposition,” as it won a much higher percentage of the popular vote than the NDP, which will form official Opposition because it won more seats.

The provincial investigation began in Jan 2020. Inspectors have been to the park at least 160 times. Liam filed FOI requests for inspection reports, orders issued to Marineland, a 65-page water quality report, and a list of animals that have died there. The requests were denied.
