NARRAGANSETT, R.I. — The Narragansett Town Council is torn over putting parking restrictions in another area of town. KINGSTON — Not all high schools have an entire symphony orchestra at their disposal to perform at their graduation. However, South Kingstown does, and it’s made up of their own students. After one war, two hurricanes, hundreds of miles of running marathons, and nearly 100 years of life, George L. Silva of North Kingstown is still standing. He still cuts his own grass, too. His longevity, faith, and service have inspired an entire community for decades, and friends and family hope his upcoming 100th birthday celebration on at St. Bernard Church, located at 275 Tower Hill Road in North Kingstown, June 29 from 1-4 p.m. will be the least they can do to thank him.
