YORK, Pa. — The FOX43 Weather Team has issued a Weather Impact Alert from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday for an elevated risk of wildfires and their rapid spread. There’s a FIRE WEATHER WATCH for Dauphin, Lancaster, and Lebanon counties during this timeframe. Outdoor burning is NOT recommended and should be avoided. There have already been small brush fires this season in several spots throughout our area, in addition to larger wildfires in other parts of Pennsylvania.

PENNSYLVANIA, USA — FOX43's Weather Smart Team is tracking Potential Tropical Cyclone Sixteen currently developing off the Carolina coast. This area of low pressure is already producing a large area of tropical storm force winds along the Southeast Coast. As of the 11 a.m. update from the National Hurricane Center, there are winds of 50 mph gusting to near 65 mph near the center of this storm.
