FLORENCE, Ky. — This weekend, the Florence Police Department, in collaboration with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), is hosting a Drug Take Back Day to encourage the community to dispose of unused prescription drugs safely. Old, expired and unwanted prescription drugs can be dropped off for free on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at two locations: the Florence Police Department and the Kroger parking lot on Mall Road.

COVINGTON, Ky. — President Donald Trump's tariffs change daily, but the universal 10 percent tariff applied to all imports worldwide is still in place. That 10 percent increase was too much for Cincinnati Wholesale Florist to absorb. Kara Acri, owner of Scarlet Begonia's Flower Truck, got the dreaded email from her wholesaler this week. Cincinnati Wholesale Florist is passing that 10 percent tariff on to its customers. But Acri didn't want to have to pass on the expense to her customers.

CINCINNATI — Relief is back for west side neighbors who rely on the St. Vincent de Paul charitable pharmacy. The pharmacy opened in 2016 and is back open after a major remodel. The new space now features its own entrance, better handicap accessibility and a medication donation stock room. The charitable pharmacy relies largely in part on donations from the community, and having space to safely store medications was important.

CINCINNATI — It has been 40 years since Robert Ballard discovered the Titanic shipwreck on the bottom of the ocean, but the fascination surrounding the tragedy lives on. A new exhibit, Titanic: An Immersive Voyage, opens Thursday, March 13, in downtown Cincinnati. The exhibit first explains the lore of the Titanic as seen in movies, then introduces guests to the tragedy's reality.

Hope's Closet, a local nonprofit providing foster care families with clothing and equipment, is turning to the community for help. The shelves of the boutique may look full, but Executive Director Ryan Craig explained that they go through the inventory very quickly. The most needed items right now include new socks, new underwear, new or very gently used shoes and lightweight summer pajamas.
