LAKEWOOD – The parents of a three-month-old girl have been arrested and charged for murdering their daughter, authorities said. Ruben Santiago, 36, and Caitlin Gibson, 28, both of Lakewood, were charged with Murder in connection with the death of their three-month-old daughter. Around 7:20 p.m. Monday, police arrived to a home on Pinehurst Drive regarding an infant having difficulty breathing.

BRICK – After being closed for five years, the Township welcomed local youth to the reopening of the Brick Township Teen Center. The Teen Center, located at the Civic Plaza, first opened its doors in 2017 when it was formerly known as the “Lounge 270 Teen Center.” Operations were forced to cease in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the space was left untouched – until Mayor Lisa Crate’s plan to transform the center.

HOWELL – The Howell Rebels American Youth Football and Cheerleading have earned their rings, becoming National Champions for 2025. The Howell Rebels competed at the Quest Recreational Championship at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida – a two-day competition against hundreds of teams across the country. JACKSON – A Freehold Borough resident has been sentenced to state prison for conspiring to attack and shoot a man, authorities said. Michael Vulpis, 26, was sentenced to five years in New Jersey State Prison after pleading guilty to Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon in connection with an incident that occurred in Jackson Township on June 27, 2024.
