LAKEWOOD – The parents of a three-month-old girl have been arrested and charged for murdering their daughter, authorities said. Ruben Santiago, 36, and Caitlin Gibson, 28, both of Lakewood, were charged with Murder in connection with the death of their three-month-old daughter. Around 7:20 p.m. Monday, police arrived to a home on Pinehurst Drive regarding an infant having difficulty breathing.
Brick Teen Center Reopens With Fresh New Look

BRICK – After being closed for five years, the Township welcomed local youth to the reopening of the Brick Township Teen Center. JACKSON – A Freehold Borough resident has been sentenced to state prison for conspiring to attack and shoot a man, authorities said. Michael Vulpis, 26, was sentenced to five years in New Jersey State Prison after pleading guilty to Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon in connection with an incident that occurred in Jackson Township on June 27, 2024.

FREEHOLD – A former general manager stole more than $27,000 from her employer by cooking the books of the motorcycle dealership where she worked, police said. Chelsea A. Marra-Kaufmann, 36, of Toms River was charged with third-degree Theft by Taking or Exercising Unlawful Control over Property. Police said that the charges stemmed from an investigation starting with the West Long Branch Police, who looked at the dealership’s business, payroll, and sales records.

BRICK – A Brick Township man has been sentenced to 180 months in prison for receiving and distributing child pornography, state officials said. Christopher Budelman, 37, previously pleaded guilty to two counts of receipt of child pornography and one count of distribution of child pornography. In or around June 2022, Budelman enticed two minors on an online video chat site to engage in sexually explicit conduct while he sexually pleasured himself.
