Syracuse men's and women's lacrosse have both been granted spots in the NCAA Tournament. Syracuse men's and women's lacrosse are both going to the NCAA Tournament. The men's was not a surprise given its ACC Championship victory over Duke Sunday afternoon. The women's berth, however, was a surprise. Class of 2026 Chester (PA) High offensive lineman Shemaj Henry has committed to Syracuse football. He fits the mold of what Syracuse has targeted along the offensive line in recruiting over the last couple of cycles. At 6-8, 330 pounds, he is one of the largest humans in the class. He has visited in the past and was offered at the end of March. Henry has an official visit scheduled to Syracuse for the middle of June.  "Cuse was awesome," Henry said after his visit in March.

Syracuse basketball has picked up another addition from the transfer portal as Cincinnati small forward Tyler Betsey has committed to the Orange. Betsey, a 6-8 forward who has three years of eligibility remaining, averaged 3.3 points and 1.5 rebounds last season for the Bearcats in 11 minutes per game. He appeared in 34 games during his one year at Cincinnati. Betsey shot 36% from the floor overall and 32% from three point range.

Syracuse football has landed a commitment and signature from one of the most talented wide receivers in the transfer portal. Former Washington and Texas wide receiver Johntay Cook picked the Orange as his new collegiate home, sources told CuseNation.com. He had also previously visited Arizona State. Cook has two years of eligibility remaining. The 6-0, 185 pounder spent two seasons at Texas. He left midway through the 2024 season and entered the transfer portal during the available window.
