As survivors sift through debris for anything they can salvage, the rest of the rubble is processed at a compost site. ,The site was originally dedicated to turning trees into mulch, but a few days after the tornado, when countless downed trees were coming in, the county’s deputy judge, Jeff Wilson, said there was also a need for debris drop-off.

That’s because she said someone kicked one of her windows in early Saturday morning and set the business on fire.
