Barbers inside Diamond Bridge Barber Shop in Hawthorne are used to helping people spiff up their appearance. After being a staple in the community since the early 1900s – the shop is receiving help upgrading the front of their shop. The loud sound of drilling is the last thing residents who live on East 24th Street in the city of Paterson say they want to hear. But according to those completing construction work, it's a sound that can save a life. Customers who are still trying to check in for their flights at the Delta counter at Terminal A at Newark Liberty International Airport say despite shorter lines, many of the same problems travelers experienced this past weekend are continuing. U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez was convicted Tuesday on 16 counts of bribery in his federal corruption trial. Union City is Menendez's hometown and it's also where he got his political start, working as part of the Union City Board of Education and then becoming mayor of the city in the mid-80s. Some Union City residents were upset to hear that someone they trusted was found guilty on all counts in a federal corruption trial. Many are now calling on the senator to resign.
