Many North Dakotans have pets, and there's no doubt that we love them dearly. That said, some of us have different opinions and feelings about the ways we treat them. While I was at the pet store the other day, I overheard two women talking about how terrible they thought cat declawing was. They said it was "barbaric". If you don't know anything about cat declawing, many people are making a push to ban this practice.

No one is perfect. We've all made silly mistakes while driving. I think that's somewhat understandable. Something that isn't quite as understandable is having the ability to fix a mistake you've made and choosing not to. (Also See: Reasons North Dakota Has The Worst Drivers) Parking Police While the city of Bismarck does have parking police doing patrols in the downtown area, the citizens of BisMan have taken it upon themselves to do a little more.

It's finally starting to feel like spring, so many of us are thinking of getting outside and enjoying nature. What better way to do that than by strolling through the Dakota Zoo? I remember when I first moved to Bismarck, the zoo was one of the first places I went. I walked around and found a friend. And a couple more friends. And a couple more. There are so many fascinating animals at the Dakota Zoo, I don't think I could possibly pick a favorite.

We have all kinds of shows coming up this spring and summer, and it looks like we have a big one just a week away. We have Hozier with special guest, Gigi Perez, performing at the Fargodome on Sunday, July 27th. We also have the All-American Rejects coming to the Red River Valley Fair on July 11th. Let's also not forget that we have Soulja Boy, Rick Ross, Fat Joe, and Bow Wow coming to the North Dakota State Fair on Thursday, July 24th. See, so many great shows to look forward to.

With Easter right around the corner you might want to check out what two North Dakota women are doing before you get your baskets. Jennifer Schauer and Jolene Theil made it their mission to give the people of Bismarck-Mandan a more affordable way to celebrate the holiday. "Eleven years ago I was decorating for Easter and had a whole bin full of brand-new children's Easter items, so I did what most people do and tried to pawn it off on my mom," said Schauer.
