    VALLEY CITY, N.D. — Apparently, members of the Jamestown High School track and field team like the heat. "It was a great day for the Blue Jay boys track and field team," JHS co-head coach Ken Gardner said. "It was windy and warm in Valley City (but) we had lots of new state qualifiers." The Blue Jays wound up placing first at Valley City's Bill Jansen Last Chance Meet on Monday with 160 points while the Blue Jay girls finished first with 134.5 points.

    JAMESTOWN — Legislators from District 12 and District 29 point to the bill delivering property tax relief North Dakota residents as the most important accomplishment of the session that ended on May 3. “Mostly we worked on the property tax relief,” said Sen. Cole Conley, R-Jamestown. “It was the biggest subject of the session.” Sen. Terry Wanzek, R-Jamestown, said it was a long and difficult process. “It took a while, but we finally got to property tax relief for homeowners,” he said.
