St. Louis-area LGBTQ+ advocacy groups want to know why the Missouri Department of Revenue suddenly changed its policy for someone to change the gender listed on a driver’s license or a nondriver identification card. Leaders with the statewide gender equality group PROMO said the policy change is alarming and poses challenges to trans and nonbinary people who want to get their name or gender changed on identifying documents.

DENVER (KDVR) — Denver Public Schools held a final meeting Monday on plans for a $975 million bond proposal to go on the November ballot. “This is an opportunity for almost a billion-dollar investment into our city without raising any taxes,” said Denver Mayor Mike Johnston at the meeting. The Community Planning and Advisory committed laid out its final proposal, which is the final step before the plan moves to the Board of Education for approval.

DENVER (KDVR) — Starting June 1, the Environmental Protection Agency will require reformulated gasoline sales in the Denver area. This is because the EPA downgraded the Front Range metro area as a “severe” violator of ozone pollution standards set by The Clean Air Act. “Every part per billion in the air quality improvements that we can make will make a difference in the air that people breathe each and every day,” said Adrienne Sandoval, EPA Air & Radiation Division Director.
