This week, teachers and parents across Jefferson County got to meet the last two men standing. They also heard the candidates make their pitch for a future in Kentucky’s biggest school district. The community then let the board know who they think is better. The next step will be negotiating for the right terms.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Four people have been rescued by the Louisville Fire Department after a tree fell onto their home in the Taylor Berry neighborhood. At around 10:15 p.m., LFD responded to a call of a tree crashing into a home on Wurtele Avenue, according to Tony Downes with LFD. After 52 minutes, two adults and two young children were successfully rescued from the house and transported to the hospital by EMS for non-life-threatening injuries, according to LFD.
