LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Okolona Fire Protection District confirms that one of its firefighters was killed while on vacation. Capt. Chris Berry was killed in a boating accident at Dale Hollow Reservoir. According to a statement from the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, officers responded to a call around 12:50 a.m. of a man overboard at Sewell Bend. Capt. Berry was camping with friends and took their Allison bass boat out fishing. Berry reportedly stumbled and fell into the water.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A juvenile that was sent to the hospital Saturday after a shooting in the Algonquin neighborhood has died from his injuries, LMPD confirmed. Louisville Metro Police responded to a call of a shooting in the 1600 block of Bulger Court at 8:35 p.m. on Saturday, June 14. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found a juvenile male outside suffering from a gunshot wound. EMS took the victim to UofL Hospital where he died on Tuesday, June 17.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A man has been arrested in connection to a shooting in Fern Creek Thursday night that sent a man to the hospital. Louisville Metro Police officers responded to a call of a shooting on Thursday, June 12, at around 10:20 p.m.Upon arriving at the 5900 block of Shelby Street, officers found a man with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to UofL Hospital and is expected to survive.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) -A man and a teenager are in the hospital after a shooting in Louisville’s Plantation neighborhood on June 6. Louisville police said around 4:15 p.m., staff at Suburban Hospital reported two people with gunshot wounds who had shown up at the hospital. The adult was taken to UofL Hospital while the teen was taken to Norton Children’s. They both are being treated for what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
