MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Lower humidity, plenty of sunshine and a comfortable stretch of weather is here for the next few days. Find time to get outside before we see the storm chances return late week. TODAYWith the cold front now to our south, we’ll see a drop in humidity and a north wind throughout the day today. MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) - The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launch will likely be visible Tuesday morning from the Grand Strand. The launch is set for 5:36 AM from Cape Canaveral, Florida. ROCKET LAUNCH | Upload your pictures and videos here The four-hour launch window opens up at 5:20 AM and is expected to launch at 5:36 AM Tuesday. A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket will launch a batch of Starlink V2 Mini satellites to low Earth orbit.

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Ernesto is the third hurricane of the season so far and is forecast to become a major hurricane by the end of the week. At 11 am, the center of Hurricane Ernesto was located near latitude 25.0 North, longitude 69.2 West. Ernesto is moving toward the north near 14 mph (22 km/h). This general motion is expected to continue today, followed by a slower northeastward or north-northeastward motion on Friday and Saturday.

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Ernesto is the third hurricane of the season so far and is forecast to become a major hurricane by the end of the week. At 5:00 PM, the center of Hurricane Ernesto was located near latitude 21.7 North, longitude 68.3 West. Ernesto is moving toward the northwest near 16 mph. A northward to northeastward motion at a slower forward speed is expected Friday and Saturday. On the forecast track, the center of Ernesto is expected to pass near Bermuda on Saturday.

This will keep the pop up showers and storms through the start of next week with very high humidity sticking around. THIS EVENINGStorms will continue through the late afternoon and this evening. A few of those storms could lead to some locally heavy rainfall with rainfall rates of 1-3″ per hour.
