    A bus in Dundee had its windows smashed by large stones with passengers on board. Police are appealing for information after an electric Xplore bus was vandalised on Craigie Drive between 6.30pm and 7pm on Saturday. Large stones were thrown at the windows of the upper deck of the number 5A Xplore, causing two of them to break.

    A 29-year-old man has been charged after armed police were called to a “disturbance” in Brechin. Firearms officers were called to a flat on Church Street in the Angus town shortly before 7pm on Sunday. A video shared on social media showed a section of the street was taped off by police during the incident.     Police Scotland and the charities regulator have launched a probe into alleged “irregularities” at a Dalgety Bay charity. Community hub That Place in the Bay closed suddenly and for the “foreseeable future” last month.     Costa Coffee has confirmed its Broughty Ferry cafe will reopen after a refurb later this month. The coffee shop temporarily closed on Sunday to undergo a “transformative renovation”. Costa says the Brook Street store will return “brighter, bolder, and better than ever” when it reopens later in May.
