Brighton & Hove Albion are boosted by the return to contention of Kaoru Mitoma for Saturday's away game at Wolverhampton Wanderers. The Japan international left-winger, 27, has not started any of the last four matches due to heel and back issues. Mitoma came off the bench to score in a 4-2 defeat at Brentford and a 3-2 home win over West Ham between missing matches against Leicester (2-2) and Newcastle on Sunday (1-1) at the Amex Stadium.

The appeal lay in the prospect of getting more game time than promised to be the case under head coach Fabian Hurzeler at the Amex Stadium, with the hope it would help them thrive and revive. A secondary benefit would be them returning next season to rejuvenate their careers at the club or elsewhere after boosting their transfer values.

Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper Tom McGill has signed a new two-year contract. The 25-year-old back-up has been with the club since the age of 14. He spent the first half of the campaign on loan to League Two side MK Dons, making 25 appearances before returning to understudy first choice Bart Verbruggen and No 2 Jason Steele. "Tom has been an important part of our goalkeeping team for a long time, and we're pleased to see that continue," head coach Fabian Hurzeler said.
