    HARRISBURG, Pa. — The man accused of setting fire to the Pennsylvania Governor's Residence early Sunday morning is in the hospital due to a medical event, according to state police. Cody Balmer, 38, of Harrisburg, faces several charges, including attempted homicide, arson, terrorism, and aggravated assault. According to the arrest papers filed by police, Balmer hated Governor Josh Shapiro.

James Patrick Connors compiled a long public service record before he became Scranton's 28th mayor in 1990.
